For the Love of Rock and Pinball

There’s a reason music and pinball belong together. Both can grab your attention, raise your pulse, and make you forget whatever else was on your mind. Put the right song behind a great game, and suddenly “one more ball” turns into another hour.

For me, AC/DC is exactly that kind of band.

I love music with personality. Music that announces itself within a few notes. You hear that guitar, that rhythm, that unmistakable swagger, and you know who’s coming through the speakers. AC/DC doesn’t need an introduction. Just a volume knob.

There’s something brilliant about how direct their music is. The riffs have room to breathe. The drums drive everything forward. Nothing feels like it’s there to impress someone in a music theory class. It’s there to make you move, grin, and reach over to turn it up.

That’s also what I love about a great pinball machine. You can appreciate the engineering, the artwork, and the depth of the rules, but the real test is simple: how does it make you feel when you press Start?

AC/DC Remastered brings those two loves together.

Standing at an AC/DC machine, you’re doing more than listening to songs you love. You’re playing along. The shots become part of the rhythm. The tension builds. You’re chasing that next moment while the soundtrack gives the whole thing a little extra horsepower.

And yes, occasionally the ball drains while you’re feeling particularly pleased with yourself. Pinball has excellent comic timing.

At NITRO, I get excited about machines that give people a reason to gather. Friends taking turns. Someone discovering a favourite song. Someone else insisting they can beat the high score before heading home. Those are the moments that make this hobby special to me.

A music pinball machine can become the centre of that experience. It gives the room a soundtrack and everyone something to talk about, even when they’re supposed to be watching their ball.

AC/DC has always had that communal energy. You don’t need to explain the appeal when a room full of people hears the opening of “Thunderstruck.” The reaction takes care of itself.

That’s why I’m excited to introduce AC/DC Remastered at NITRO Pinball.

If you love the band, love pinball, or simply believe your game room could use more rock and roll, take a look.

I’ll understand if you turn the volume up first.
